After firing over 4000 employees, Twitter’s new CEO is in the process of selecting fresh applicants. Elon Musk hired a man who famously hacked an iPhone in 2007. George Hotz was the first person to unlock an iPhone back then. Hotz was previously employed at SpaceX and was recently hired to improve Twitter’s search function. Hotz has given a 12-week time constraint to solve the problem that many engineers have failed to fix.
According to Hotz, I am bound for a 12-week internship at Twitter to help cover the cost of living in San Francisco. It’s all about bringing the earth back to life, rather than collecting riches in a lifeless world. Musk reacted to his tweet with an invitation to speak. Hotz stated that he does not intend to stay with the organization for an extended period of time.
Furthermore, he stated that he is delving into a difficult codebase. In 12 weeks, I could document and clean up some of those 1000 microservices. He mentioned reverse engineering. Hotz clarified in his statement that he is only undertaking an internship at Twitter and has been hired to fix Twitter’s problematic search tool in 12 weeks.
As a result, while rectifying the fake, Hotz asked his followers how they felt about utilizing Twitter Search instead of Google Search. One user responded that it is still horrible. If I’m looking for something and I’m one character away from finding it, I just don’t find it.
Hotz welcomed his comments and responded that we would soon have an easy way to fix the fault.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University. Hotz has worked with companies such as Google, Facebook, and SpaceX. In contrast, he was the CEO of comma.ai from 2015 until 2018.
Furthermore, after Elon Musk became CEO of Twitter, various changes happened, including a new organizational structure. Nearly 4,000 Twitter employees have been let go in the past month.
However, several employees did not agree with Twitter’s new rules and restrictions and resigned. After receiving Musk’s email regarding the demanding work culture. Elon Musk, on the other hand, fired several of them since he has his own way of working.
Musk gave his staff the option of working hard or leaving with severance compensation. As a result, several employees were given severance money when they departed the company.
