The display on Apple’s most recent iPhone 14 Pro models has undergone significant design changes. The company added Dynamic Island and app extensions for a fresh visual experience, along with its hotly touted Always-On display, to the mix of capabilities. The size and capabilities of Dynamic Island will change significantly during the next few years. Dynamic Island will eventually make place for in-display technology. According to recent rumors, Apple will unveil the iPhone 17 Pro in 2025 and include in-display Face ID.
iPhone 17 Pro will be the first model to rock in-display Face ID in 2025
Ross Young, a well-known display analyst, tweeted the information, underlining the fact that Apple will unveil in-display Face ID with the release of the iPhone 17 Pro. A year after iPhone 17 Pro made its in-display technology debut, the regular iPhone models may have it as well. This indicates that by 2026, Face ID will be integrated into every iPhone model offered by Apple.
We have already heard information about Apple’s in-display sensors. The business is reportedly developing an under-display Face ID authentication mechanism for the iPhone ‘Pro’ models, according to a story from last year. Young initially stated that the technology would be available in 2026. He did note, though, that the corporation may push out the debut by another year as a result of sensor problems.
Be aware that a single circular cutout would still be used to access the front-facing camera. As the majority of Android phones lack the necessary Face ID technology, we anticipate that this will be the closest an Android device will seem to an iPhone. Yet it won’t be long before the iPhone eliminates all frontal distractions. As a result, the 2027 iPhone models will have both Face ID and a front-facing camera built into the display, making it the first all-screen iPhone that users have long wished about.
With the release of the iPhone 17, Young further predicts that Apple will finally add ProMotion technology to the basic models. Only the ‘Pro’ versions have had a greater refresh rate up until this point. As Apple has the final say, do take the news with a grain of salt. We anticipate Apple to release the iPhone 15 Pro variants this year with solid-state buttons and an Action button akin to the Apple Watch Ultra. As soon as further information becomes available, we will discuss the iPhone 15 series in greater depth.
