Vivo X90 series has feature the next-generation MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC variant

Vivo X90

The Vivo X90 series is rumored to be in the developing process and could launch by the end of this year. Unlike the company’s current Vivo X80 series, this upcoming series could include three models of Vivo X90 in vanilla, in addition to the Vivo X90 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro+. I have a previous report suggesting that the Vivo X90 phone could feature his Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. A well-known informant claims that the Chinese tech giant could also offer variants of these models with his MediaTek Dimensity chipset.

According to his Weibo post by informant Digital Chat Station, Vivo MediaTek may launch his Dimensity 9000 next-gen SoC iteration of the Vivo X90 series. The informant also claims that the next-generation Dimensity 9000 chipset also boasts higher AnTuTu benchmark scores than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

A tipper previously speculated that Qualcomm hit peak clocks of up to 3.5 GHz with his Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. This next-generation chipset is expected to launch in November. It will be interesting to see how far MediaTek can outperform Qualcomm’s upcoming SoC with its next-generation chipset.

In related news, it is reported that the Vivo X90 series will be launched in December. Some specs of the Vivo X90 Pro+ have recently leaked. The report also mentions the possibility of having a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

Additionally, the Vivo X90 Pro+ could have a 1-inch camera sensor and a telephoto camera on the back. The handset could also feature fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. As a reminder, the Vivo X80 Pro launched in India in May this year and is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The handset comes with a 50-megapixel quad rear camera and a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
